With its potential to automate, eliminate formwork, reduce construction waste and improve geometric accuracy, 3DP has promising applications in the building construction and civil engineering. 3DP is an effort to put digital manufacturing into practice, enabling a direct transition from building design \/ modeling (BIM) to 3DP.
